Joanna found Power Yoga Works in 2011 and quickly signed up to work the desk. It became a home away from home as she grew to enjoy the community and felt a sense of comfort each time she walked in the door. The practice itself provided her with positive energy and a deep sense of calm. After having her second son, she transitioned from being a full-time mental health counselor to a stay at home mom. While this transition brought her much joy, she felt she needed something more to provide balance in her life. She began yoga teacher training at Power Yoga Works at the encouragement of her husband, and enjoys sharing her love of yoga with each student that she meets. She feels that yoga can benefit everyone not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally. She is honored to share in other people’s journeys with them and feels privileged to guide them through their practice.
